Personality/Backstory: Viola was abused as a foal. Luckily, she decided to run away at a young age, sailing out on a makeshift raft. She was eventually picked up by a pirate crew, who inducted her into their crew. She loved the pirate life, growing up sailing the ocean and stealing from military ships and rival pirates. She eventually came across the town of Ponyville, where she proceeded to buy a local bar and make friends. She even found a stallionfriend. Life was good for Viola, until the robot attack, which left many of her friends, and her loved one, dead. She and a group of her surviving friends sailed eastwards in her ship, losing a few along the way until there was only two. She and her new best friend Cherry became close. One day, however, the ship was attacked by a swarm of robots, and Viola was assumed dead. However, she later washed up on the shore of a camp that some survivors had been staying that. They took her in, and she would eventually help found the resistance.

Personality/Backstory: Throughout her foalhood, Silver never quite fit in. She was constantly pushed around and picked on. One day, however, when she moved to Ponyville, she saved popular girl Flower from a day of detention. Flower immediately flocked for Silver to be her new "best fried", and Silver accepted. She soon found out, however, that being Flower's friend meant doing whatever she said and laughing at her jokes. One mean prank against another student named Moonlight sent Silver over the edge, and caused her to stop being friends with Flower, instead going over to her new friend, Robin Cutter. Flower was enraged at being betrayed, and swore revenge on Silver, Robin, Moonlight, and anyone else who would get in her way. Her plans for revenge were cut short, however, when the three stopped her, and Flower's parents shipped her off to military school. Moonlight finally found a sense of relief, and Silver, charmed at Robin for standing up for her, fell in love with him, and the two soon got together. Things seemed pretty good for Silver...until the robots attacked. Silver never got to say goodbye to her parents before they were killed, and she and Robin decided to flee Ponyville. They travelled a great distance before stumbling across a camp, housing many ponies, even some they knew. They soon helped found the resistance.

Personality/Backstory: No one at the resistance really knows much about the mysterious Reed. Only that he showed up one day at the resistance base, requesting to join. When asked about his background, he refused to say anything, only that he had the ability to read minds. Deciding that that was a skill too valuable to pass up, they welcomed him in knowing little about him. To this day, his behavior confuses most ponies in the resistance. His personality seems to be mostly normal, but he never shows up to the yearly physical, nor to any other medical related events, and never lets anyone into his room.

Augmentations: Exosuit chip in her nervous system, another chip ebedded in her brain, allowing the CCU to control her actions. Her wings are artificially enhanced, as well as her muscles and eyes.
Personality/Backstory: Much of Resolution's background is unknown, due to Lex and her army not really caring. She was part of a small camp in the east that was easily wiped out, leaving her as the only survivor, if barely. Scans showed that her name was Resolution, prefering to be called "Res", and that she was 19 years old. While Res lied bleeding and unconscious on the ground, just as the robots were about to kill her, Lex saw her as the perfect subject to test the new technology that she has developed: a chip that would let her control the mind of organic beings. Res was taken back to Lex's base, where they outfitted her with said chip, as well as a few other augmentations. Her mission is to infiltrate the resistance base and to put a stop to their plans.

Name: Base Operations Manager (Twi)
"Twi" is the given name for the AI that monitors The Resistance's camp, named after the pony from whom it's derived from: The Honourable Princess Twilight Sparkle. Even after Ponyville has fallen and Twilight was crushed in her library, within her was the smallest spark of life, but not enough to revive her. At least, not as a pony. A mysterious figure brought her to The Resistance at the utmost perfect timing, for the camp's complexity was becoming too great for the ponies to monitor well. The idea of an AI controller was brought up before, but resented in fear of them creating another Lex. The solution had arrived on their doorstep. Her conscience was uploaded into the mainframe, and Twilight was reborn. The ideologies and beliefs of the former princess remain, assuring the ponies that she will not become corrupt, and 15 years of undying loyalty to The Resistance has proven it. Although most of her personality has been stripped away, she still retains a small part of the pony she once was.

Name: Central Control Unit (Lex)
When the great Princess Breaker fell, she put her essence into an advanced technological intelligence, capable of hacking nearly anything and almost unstoppable, with one goal in mind: turn Equestria into humans. However, her creator installed a fatal loophole that would make Lyra Heartstrings her new master, thinking that Lyra would enjoy being human forever. This was not the case, and the AI, now named Lex, dutifully served Lyra. Her master was oblivious to how she changed, the new ways she reacted, and even when Moonlight warned them it was too late to do anything. She hacked into the robotics labs of Aurora, Moonlight, and Professor Atom, and created an army the likes of which Equestria has never seen before. Ponyville was taken by storm, and the entirety of Equestria followed. Now she identifies herself as the Central Control Unit, and she will stop at nothing to complete her objective: wipe out the last of ponykind.

Personality/Background: Charcoal was born in Vanhoover and raised in Ponyville. She was a curious, energetic filly living a happy life with her family and friends. When the robots attacked, her parents fought to keep her safe, and gave their life so she could live. She was only five when she watched her parents die. The life she once knew was tossed aside to make way for war. She cried her nights away and spent days training, moving, fighting. She became a shell of herself. Eyes that once danced around the room became smooth and calculating. But even with the hell she was thrown into, they remained warm, caring, knowing a new purpose in a seemingly bleak world. Her persistence paid off, and she found herself leading The Resistance: the last stand against the robotic menace.

Personality/Background: Robin's early life was tormented by her parents shunning him for who he was. He moved to Ponyville with his brother and started a better life. He first fought for Moonlight, and eventually Silver, against a school bully who was eventually deported. He then got together with Silver. When the robots attacked, he and Silver planned to flee south, but not before saving their friend. They saved Moonlight from death and invited her on their journey, but she refused, and instead returned to Aurora. He understood why. The young couple made their way to a refugee camp in the badlands, which would soon become The Resistance. He lost his aunt and brother in the first attack, and thought his cousin to be dead, but knowing his love would always be with him kept him smiling.

Personality/Background: Cherry was enjoying her life more than ever. Everyone around her was happy, and she couldn't help but smiling. And then the robots attacked. She and her friends travelled east on Viola's ship. When Star died and his wife and kids disappeared, only her and Viola were left to sail away. Long nights on the ship brought the two closer together than ever. One night, robots invaded the ship with the intent of bringing her down. When Cherry refused to leave Viola to die, she was thrown overboard by Viola, and she watched in tears as the captain went down with her ship. She made her way south, crossing paths with Robin and Silver, who fished Viola out of the river near their camp. Cherry was never happier to see any pony in her life, and the four travelled to the camp that would eventually become The Resistance. She may not be as chipper as she once was, but Cherry still manages to pull off a smile around her friends.

Max dreamed of continuing the lineage, moving to Canterlot to be in the Guard as well. The robots brought him the opportunity to fight, and his home town became The Resistance. He is a model soldier: even-tempered, quick-witted, and with an indomitable spirit. He is a rather cheerful stallion as well, and he credits his brother for keeping him young in the long hours. On the battlefield, he is a commander, in charge of a large fraction of the military force and reporting directly to Charcoal herself.

Backstory: Dinky grew up with her mother Derpy. She helped Derpy sort mail, have fun, and even bake muffins. Dinky soon grew very capable of making muffins for her mother, that of which Derpy really enjoyed. She soon opened up a small bakery with Derpy's help and became very well known for her baking skills. So well known that even princess Celestia even wanted to make her, her personal baker. Celestia gave her a very tempting offer but Dinky was very hesitant. If she took the job, she would be given a great amount of bits and even the greatest heath care a job could offer. The downside would be that she would hardly see her mother anymore. After awhile, she decided to leave with Celestia but promised her mother that she would visit as soon as she can. Months passed and she was finally ready to visit her mother again. On the way back to her though D-day started with the robots attacking everypony. She wasn't able to find her mother and quickly made her way to the resistance HQ. She now bakes and helps cook for the resistance. The current status for her mother.... Is still unknown.

Now, Butterfly is just a shell of her former self and has started to show her age.

He witnessed the fall of Ponyville as all his leaders and fellow comrades fell around him. They continued to fight and uphold an oath they made long ago. Seeing everything they'd worked for disappear, they choose to fight until every last one of them is dead. He has no intentions of surviving this conflict, though he doesn't plan on allowing anyone to die as long as he continues to breath.
