The vermillion famy has alot of pride and their blood is special...because of that, they think they make the rules... they also have a strict code of conduct. Those who anger them tend to go "missing". One rule is never giving away any foals, unless there's a birth defect. In a way, it allows the child to be in good hooves, but puts a strain on an unwilling mother. The way I see it, Smoke may not want to share his family burden. And this would lead to big problems...Relationship is a two way street... if one doesn't accept the other, wouldn't it lead to more sadness than happiness?

In a way. But giving away foal for adoption is like giving away your own flesh and blood...but I, understand how you feel. Even if you dislike me. *goes towards the exit*
