Adventure on the Waves prologue ((Short story. Not an RP.))

That was it, the ship from her dream. The young pegasus looked to see if anypony was watching. When the coast appeared clear, she dived behind some boxes which were to be loaded on the ship. She noticed a gruff unicorn who appeared to be the captain talking to another pony. As she looked around she noticed an empty box. She smiled as an idea found its way into her head.

She managed to move the box in with all the other ones. Good, no pony has noticed me, she let herself smirk and give a mental pat on the back. She finally entered the box once the coast was clear, she was now enclosed in a cube surrounded by darkness. She had to admit it, this terrified her. She saw herself as a strong mare that could take care of herself. However, in this enclosed space she found herself in fear.

"Come on, Smoke Stack. We've gotten this far, we can't quit now."Giving a small pep talk to herself definitely helped something. She wasn't sure what it was, but she felt this was what she needed to do. She felt the box begin to move and bit her lip to not make a sound. She had snuck on ships and in other places before, but something was different. She did not know how to describe it.
After awhile she kept hearing voices when the box stopped moving and was dropped. She once again bit her lip to keep from howling in pain. The voices grew more and more faint. After a moment, she closed her eyes and put her hooves together. Then, she began to open the lid. At first she winced at the light poring in.

She allowed her eyes to adjust and stepped out. She was in the cargo hold, she had done it. She wanted to applaud herself for her success, but thought better of it. She began to walk around to look for a disguise and stumbled upon a sailor's outfit. She looked around and saw no pony. Thus, she slipped it on and went to leave. Now, all she had to do was act as part of the crew and wait until the next stop to disappear. Her adventure has only just begun.
